Thank you for participating in this study. Part two requires you to download your requested Twitter/X archive data and upload it to our research server. We will collect this information in such a way that your name and email will not be identifiable. Though mobile upload instructions are provided on this site, we strongly recommend that you complete the data upload process on a desktop computer or laptop.

The Twitter/X data that we will ask you to upload consists of your Twitter bio; past votes and notes submitted to the Community Notes platform; your ad targeting information; the list of accounts you follow; the list of tweets you’ve liked; and a list of personalized interests, as determined by Twitter/X. None of this information will identify your actual Twitter/X account. Your Community Notes data will include all notes and votes you have ever submitted. Your ad targeting data will include all targeting information and ad impressions recorded in the 90 days preceding your data request.

Your privacy and data security are of the utmost importance to us. We will automatically redact and aggregate information that is not necessary for this study in your web browser before it is ever sent to us. In particular, we will never learn your legal name.

A detailed description of the types of data that we will collect from your web browser is available here. If you would like to inspect the source code for this project, it is available here. You will have an opportunity to preview the exact data that we will collect from your web browser before you submit it to us.

Please continue for step-by-step directions on how to provide this information.
